I've never really been into matchy-matchy bedsides. Of course sometimes it works and some styles need that symmetry and balance but I don't mind the odd mismatched lamp etc

Lighting is an important element of furnishing a bedroom, lamps needn't be expensive to be effective, however it is essential to consider the overall scale of the other pieces in the room.

at this height next to a bed.
